Events & Fundraising
Where do your donations and fundraising dollars go?
Each of our mentoring matches cost our agency $800 - $1,000. These costs include:
- Thorough criminal, background and reference checks for every Big volunteer
- Thorough personality & interest interviews and analysis
- Training materials for volunteers
- Ongoing weekly and monthly support for our matches
Each fundraiser provides us with enough revenue to support about 8-10 matches annually. We currently serve 50 matches and our waiting list averages about 8-10 kids.

Annual Events
Golfing for Kids' Sake
Join us for our 1st Annual Golfing for Kids' Sake
When: Saturday September 28th, 2019
Where: Plum River Golf Course, Preston IA
When: Registration starts at 10:00 am
Shotgun start at 11:00 am
Price: $160 per team or $40 a person (Includes cart)
Breakfast with Santa
Join us for our annual Breakfast with Santa!
When: Saturday November 23rd, 2019
Time: 8:00am-11:00am
Where: 250 20th Ave N. Clinton (The old Horace Mann School)
Enjoy a hot breakfast, get your picture with Santa, play games, make crafts, and enter to win prizes.
Breakfast includes: Pancakes, eggs, sausage, fruit, and pastries
Dueling Pianos - Night of Laughs
Join us for our annual Nights of Laughs!
When: Friday March 27th, 2020 Rescheduled for August 21st, 2020
Time: Doors open at 6pm. Show starts at 7pm.
Where: Wild Rose Casino Clinton, IA
Guest enjoy a fun evening with food, a great dueling pianos show and the chance to mingle with the community. Get your friends/family members together and reserve your table of 10!
