Make a difference today!
The feeling of being a mentor- is universal. Think back to that special person, other than a parent, who brought a little magic into your life. Mentors are those people who can help create wonderful memories for themselves and the child they mentor.
Founded in 1982, we were an affiliate agency of Big Brothers Big Sisters of America for 35 years. We have decided to focus our services more locally and re-name our agency "Mentor Clinton County" in January 2019.
Our Purpose is to make a difference in the lives of children facing adversity through professionally supported one-to-one relationships with caring adults, and to assist those children in achieving their highest potential and changing their lives for the better, forever.
Our mentoring volunteers Commit to spending 1-2 hours each week with their child for a period of at least one year. Mentors can be men, women, or couples.
We are Accountable to, and are reviewed regularly by the Iowa Mentoring Partnership.
Our Staff is a dedicated team of professionals. Our Board is composed of well-informed, committed community leaders.
No Fee is ever charged to clients or volunteers. In-kind contributions provide
various supplies. Operating funds are derived from the United Way of Clinton County, fundraisers, local foundations and individual gifts.
Our agency is the leader in one-to-one youth mentoring in Clinton County and Fulton, IL, and has been providing mentors for area youth since 1982. We added Easton Valley School district to the areas we serve in 2017. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of youth.
Mentors are needed to now for matches to the children on our waiting list. Contact us for more information.
